Historic partner of La Sommelièrethe Nicolas brand enters a new era and becomes Maison Nicolas. The name change is accompanied by a rethought identity, faithful to its roots but looking to the future.

A metamorphosis driven by conviviality

Under the impetus of General Manager Cathy Collart Geiger, Maison Nicolas has embarked on a vast transformation plan. More than a brand evolution, it's a return to the very essence of what has been Nicolas' strength for over two centuries: sharing, advice and conviviality.

"At Maison Nicolas, we want to accompany all rituals and moments of conviviality, just as we have done for over 200 years," emphasizes Cathy Collart Geiger.

A name steeped in history and meaning

Founded in 1822 by Louis Nicolas, the company pioneered the sale of bottled wine, a major innovation at the time. Returning to the "Maison" appellation reflects the desire to revive this tradition of welcome and proximity: a place where you receive, where you share, where you feel good.

With 565 cellars in France and abroad, and more than 700 passionate wine merchants, Maison Nicolas aims to embody this warm, human bond at the heart of every encounter.

A new visual identity

The new logo highlights the wine merchant's profession, symbolized by the emblematic silhouette between the letters "N" and "A", a tribute to the brand's history and its artisans of taste.
A new signature also accompanies this evolution:
"Source de convivialité depuis 1822", reflecting a lasting commitment to accompany all moments of sharing - from romantic dinners to aperitifs with friends.

A launch under the sign of play and sharing

To celebrate this milestone, Maison Nicolas has launched a competition entitled "Where is Nicolas?", inviting passers-by to discover the brand's new Parisian window displays. Winners will have the chance to take part in an exceptional tasting evening at the Maison Nicolas showroom in Paris - La Madeleine.
